BAYANGKAN sebuah kereta comel dengan 6kW (8hp) dan kelajuan maksima 45km/j di jalan raya Malaysia. Dah macam skuter pula, bukan?
Tetapi sebuah kereta ini dilihat di Malaysia. Beberapa gambar dikongsi oleh pengguna Facebook bernama Shahril Khazali di forum paultan.org Automotive/Car Discussion Group.
Kereta ini ialah Citroen Ami dan ia memang kelihatan sangat comel! Rekaannya juga unik, dimana ramai netizen berkata rupa depan dan belakangnya hampir sama. Hanya dapat dibezakan dari warna lampu – merah bermaksud bahagian belakang.
Citroen Ami ialah sebuah kereta elektrik (EV) untuk kegunaan bandar dengan pek bateri lithium-ion 5.5kWh, dan jarak pemanduan 70km. Seperti disebut tadi, ia mempunyai output 8hp dan mampu mencapai kelajuan 45km/j.
Kami rasa ia lebih sesuai di bandar dengan jalan sempit dan penguatkuasaan had laju yang ketat seperti London dan Paris.
Tidak begitu sesuai dengan Kuala Lumpur yang mempunyai banyak lebuh raya, tambahan pula pengguna jalan raya negara ini ramai yang perasan hebat sehinggan menjadikan tanah air kita antara negara paling merbahayaa untuk dipandu.
Menurut perkongsian asal, gambar-gambar ini diambil di Jalan Duta dalam trafik yang bergerak perlahan. Kami tidak dapat bayangkan bagaimana Citroen Ami ini berada di lebuh raya NKVE atau DASH.
Ami yang comel ini mempunyai ukuran 2,400mm panjang, 1,390mm lebar, dan berat hanya 485kg. Lebih ringan dari Perodua Kancil!
Citroen Ami juga dikasifikasikan sebagai quadricycle di Eropah, jadi ia tidak memerlukan lesen untuk dipandu, asalkan pemandunya berumur 16 tahun dan ke atas. Ia juga tidak mempunyai pendingin hawa.
Walaupun tidak begitu sesuai untuk digunakan di lebuh raya, penulis rasa pasti sangat cool untuk dipandu di kawasan perumahan, seperti menghantar anak ke sekolah, minum kopi hujung minggu, atau pergi membeli barang runcit.
