Laluan bas di Lembah Klang akan diintegrasikan, bilangan ditambah – Anthony Loke
KEMENTERIAN Pengangkutan melalui Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) akan menyelaraskan laluan perkhidmatan bas di Lembah Klang supaya lebih berintegrasi pada masa depan.
Menterinya, Anthony Loke berkata ketika ini, terdapat tiga operator berlainan yang mengendalikan perkhidmatan bas di Lembah Klang iaitu Rapid Bus, bas percuma GoKL oleh Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) dan bas Smart Selangor oleh kerajaan Selangor.
“Kita perlu selaraskan supaya laluan-laluan (bas) itu lebih berintegrasi, tidak overlap (bertindih) antara satu sama lain.
“Kita berharap bahawa integrasi dan kerjasama ini dapat membantu menyediakan mutu perkhidmatan bas yang lebih lancar, efisien dan bilangan penumpang juga dapat ditambah,” katanya.
Loke berkata buat masa ini, sebanyak 724 bas beroperasi di Lembah Klang setiap hari, iaitu satu jumlah yang kecil, berbanding keperluan hampir 4,000 bas bagi perkhidmatan yang efisien.
Bagaimanapun, beliau berkata Rapid Bus akan terus berusaha menambah bilangan itu dan dianggarkan 1,000 bas akan dapat beroperasi setiap hari menjelang akhir tahun ini.
“Sekarang ada 150 buah bas Rapid KL yang masih diselenggarakan dan boleh kembali untuk perkhidmatan.
“Selain itu, kita juga sedang melantik operator bas baharu, umpamanya laluan yang tidak mencukupi bas kita akan outsource kepada operator lain,” tambahnya.
Mengenai operasi lorong bas yang telah dimulakan sejak Julai lepas itu, Loke berkata terdapat peningkatan jumlah penumpang sebanyak 12 peratus, iaitu daripada 12,936 kepada 14,523 penumpang setiap hari dengan penjimatan masa perjalanan kira-kira 20 minit berbanding penggunaan kereta persendirian.
“Dari segi pengamatan saya, walaupun ada lorong bas, masih banyak kereta yang mengikuti lorong bas, mereka pada permulaannya terpaksa keluar dari lorong bas itu kerana ada anggota penguat kuasa di depan untuk masuk lorong kanan.
“Tetapi banyak kereta persendirian selepas melalui kira-kira 500 meter, mereka masuk kembali ke kiri (lorong bas) dan itu kadangkala menyusahkan bas kerana masih ada kereta.
“Perkara ini akan dibincangkan lagi pada mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Kabinet atasi kesesakan jalan raya pada bulan depan,” terangnya.
Pada 3 Julai lepas, DBKL dengan kerjasama Rapid Bus melaksanakan projek percubaan lorong bas iaitu Laluan 300 dari Pandan Indah hingga Lebuh Ampang dan Laluan 303 membabitkan laluan dari Taman Mulia Jaya hingga Lebuh Ampang.
Lorong bas yang beroperasi dari Isnin hingga Jumaat bermula 6 pagi hingga 9 pagi itu memberi manfaat kepada komuniti di sekitar koridor Jalan Ampang yang ingin memasuki pusat bandar raya untuk bekerja.
