Melaka rancang bina laluan terus hubungkan Malaysia dengan Indonesia, ambil masa 20 tahun
SATU laluan dirancang untuk dibina menghubungkan Semenanjung Malaysia dengan Sumatera, Indonesia melalui Masjid Tanah-Dumai melibatkan jarak kira-kira 120km.
Terowong atau jambatan itu bakal dibangunkan dengan kerjasama syarikat swasta dan dijangka mengambil masa 20 tahun.
Exco Kanan Pelaburan, Perindustrian, Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi negeri Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh berkata, ia sekali gus memberi impak kepada perkembangan ekonomi kedua-dua negara dalam pelbagai sektor khususnya perindustrian dan pelaburan.
“Cadangan pembinaan laluan ini telah dikemukakan pihak swasta dan menerusi kajian yang dilakukan, jarak antara pesisir pantai di Dumai, Indonesia ke Telok Gong, Masjid Tanah di sini hanya sejauh 47 km.
“Secara dasarnya kedua-dua negara telah bersetuju untuk perkara ini diperincikan dan langkah awal di peringkat kerajaan negeri Melaka, kita telah membawa semua agensi kerajaan melihat kawasan yang akan dibina jajaran baharu ini semalam,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas sesi temu bual dalam Program Apa Khabar YB bersama Melakafm semalam.
Beliau berkata, laluan berkonsepkan ‘Satu Jalur Satu Jalan’ itu akan menjadi ikon baharu kedua-dua negara dan pelbagai prasarana akan turut dibangunkan termasuk kawasan penyuraian trafik dan Kompleks Imigresen, Kastam, Kuarantin dan Keselamatan (ICQS).
Ab Rauf berkata, selain itu, kawasan perindustrian baharu yang menempatkan pelbagai kegiatan perindustrian seperti semikonduktor dan automotif akan dibangunkan secara berperingkat di Masjid Tanah melibatkan keluasan kira-kira 2,023 hektar.
Katanya perancangan pembangunan kawasan perindustrian itu akan dilakukan menerusi Melaka Corporation sekali gus dijangka turut menyumbang kepada pembukaan bandar baharu di Masjid Tanah.
