Harga tambang e-hailing mungkin naik jika harga lantai ditetapkan
Kementerian Pengangkutan (MOT) masih belum berhasrat untuk mengawal selia tambang e-hailing buat masa kini kerana sekiranya harga lantai ditetapkan, harga tambang kepada pengguna juga mungkin meningkat.
Menurut Menteri Pengangkutan, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, penentuan harga lantai tambang e-hailing adalah kompleks dan perlu diimbangi antara pemandu dan pengguna.
“Pemboleh ubah seperti kesesakan trafik, cuaca, jarak, masa, jumlah permintaan dan jumlah penawaran menentukan padanan tempahan dengan penawaran secara langsung.
“Justeru itu, harga tambang juga fleksibel mengikut padanan faktor semasa,” katanya pada sesi jawab lisan di Dewan Rakyat pada Selasa.
Beliau berkata demikian menjawab pertanyaan Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien (PBM-Julau) yang meminta Anthony menjelaskan tentang tindakan susulan akan diambil MOT selepas pertemuan dengan beberapa pengendali syarikat e-hailing beroperasi di Malaysia.
Ia terutamanya berkaitan dengan semakan semula harga tambang yang dikatakan terlalu rendah sehingga merugikan pekerja dalam sektor gig ekonomi itu.
Mengulas lanjut, Anthony memberitahu, pihak Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) telah mengadakan perbincangan dengan pemain utama industri e-hailing dan menerima beberapa maklum balas.
Menurut beliau, antara respons itu adalah syarikat-syarikat e-hailing memberi galakan kepada rakan pemandu untuk beroperasi di kawasan tumpuan melalui insentif yang ditawarkan oleh mereka bagi memenuhi permintaan semasa.
“Sebagai contoh salah satu syarikat penyedia perkhidmatan e-hailing membuat penawaran insentif secara seminggu lebih awal kepada pemandu melalui notifikasi aplikasi pemandu.
“Tawaran insentif yang diumumkan boleh membantu rakan pemandu merancang waktu operasi yang sesuai dan jumlah pendapatan yang disasarkan,” ujarnya.
