Pemilik lesen B2 boleh ‘upgrade’ ke B secara automatik?
TERDAPAT cadangan untuk membolehkan pemegang lesen memandu kelas B2 menaik taraf lesen mereka kepada B secara automatik, lapor Bernama.
Timbalan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi berkata cadangan berkenaan akan dibawa ke Kementerian Pengangkutan (MOT) untuk diteliti terlebih dahulu.
Tambah beliau, tidak ada masalah berhubung cadangan itu kerana penunggang motosikal yang mempunyai lesen B2 memang memiliki pengalaman menunggang kenderaan berkenaan.
“Saya tidak fikir ujian memandu (diperlukan) kerana mereka pemandu (penunggang) yang berpengalaman, dan saya juga fikir mereka tidak memerlukan syarat-syarat ketat.
“Saya akan kemukakan kepada Menteri Pengangkutan (Anthony Loke Siew Fook) dahulu, saya tidak fikir ini satu masalah kerana ia merupakan isu pentadbiran sahaja,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas Majlis Pelepasan Konvoi Kembara Merdeka 66 di Pekan, Pahang pada Ahad.
Majlis pelepasan membabitkan lebih 238 penunggang motosikal berkuasa tinggi daripada ahli Superbikers Association Malaysia (SAM) itu turut dihadiri Menteri Besar Pahang Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail dan Presiden SAM Datuk Abdul Halim Suleiman.
Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) mengklafikasikan lesen memandu kelas B2 bagi motosikal tidak melebihi 250 cc manakala kelas B membabitkan motosikal melebihi 500 cc.
Terdahulu, Abdul Halim menyerahkan kertas cadangan bagi menaik taraf lesen memandu kelas B2 kepada B secara automatik bagi penunggang motosikal yang tidak melakukan kesalahan jalan raya serius dalam tempoh tiga tahun selepas mendapat lesen B2.
