Anwar Ibrahim akan bertemu Elon Musk minggu depan
PERDANA Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim mengesahkan akan mengadakan pertemuan dengan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Tesla, Elon Musk pada minggu hadapan.
Menurut laporan Utusan Malaysia, Anwar memberitahu pertemuan tersebut antara lain adalah untuk membincangkan berkenaan penambahan pelaburan oleh hartawan tersebut di negara ini.
“Minggu hadapan, Elon Musk meminta untuk berunding dengan saya, untuk bincang kemungkinan komitmen beliau untuk tambah pelaburan di Malaysia,” katanya.
Tambah beliau lagi, bagi menguruskan pendekatan ekonomi negara, tumpuan tentulah antaranya untuk meningkat pelaburan domestik dan menarik pelaburan asing.
“Minggu lalu saya jumpa pelabur-pelabur Jepun yang mahu menambah dan mengembangkan pelaburan mereka, beberapa bulan yang lalu saya ke negara China, hasil pelaburan China ke Malaysia adalah paling tinggi dalam sejarah,” katanya lagi.
Dalam satu jemputan rasmi yang diterima oleh Engear TV, Tesla akan dilancarkan secara rasmi di Malaysia pada 20 Julai ini.
Pengeluar kenderaan elektrik dari Amerika Syarikat itu sebelum ini mengumumkan rancangan untuk membuka sebuah ibu pejabat, pusat pengalaman, pusat servis serta mewujudkan rangkaian pengecas Supercharger.
Syarikat itu juga telah mengiklankan peluang pekerjaan menerusi laman web mereka, serta mengadakan sesi temuduga terbuka pada bulan lalu sebagai persediaannya untuk beroperasi di negara ini.
