Jualan Volvo cemerlang untuk 2022, XC40 dan C40 EV penyumbang kejayaan
VOLVO Car Malaysia meneruskan lagi pertumbuhan pesatnya di Malaysia, mengakhiri tahun 2022 dengan rekod jualan kesemua model kenderaan yang berjumlah 3,194 unit.
Pencapaian tersebut menandakan tahun ketujuh berturut-turut pertumbuhan jualan untuk syarikat automotif tersebut, dengan peningkatan sebanyak 43 peratus berbanding tahun sebelumnya – sebuah rekod baharu untuk Volvo Car Malaysia.
Bulan Disember 2022 juga menandakan bulan yang paling berjaya untuk Volvo Car Malaysia dengan lebih daripada 395 unit yang berjaya dijual.
Pencapaian dalam pertumbuhan jualan ini dipacu oleh pelancaran dua buah kenderaan elektriknya yang dipasang secara tempatan (CKD), iaitu Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric dan Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric.
Dilancarkan pada bulan Mac 2022, Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric merupakan sebuah kejayaan besar, dan syarikat tersebut masih lagi dalam proses penghantaran kereta kepada para pelanggan, dengan bank pesanan yang sihat sehingga tahun ini.
Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric juga menerima sambutan yang menggalakkan daripada para pembeli, dengan lebih daripada 100 kenderaan telah dipesan secara dalam talian hanya dalam tempoh 10 hari setelah pelancarannya pada 14 Disember 2022.
Kedua-dua model tersebut dipasang di kilang pembuatan Volvo di Shah Alam dan merupakan dua model kenderaan elektrik pemasangan tempatan pertama yang dijual di Malaysia.
Ia juga mengukuhkan lagi kedudukan Volvo Car Malaysia sebagai pemacu dalam pemasangan tempatan kenderaan-kenderaan elektrik di Malaysia.
Volvo Car Malaysia komited dalam cita-cita globalnya untuk mencapai kemampanan dan sedang dalam rangka untuk menjadi syarikat kenderaan elektrik sepenuhnya menjelang tahun 2030.
Volvo Car Malaysia juga merancang agar 75 peratus daripada jualannya datang daripada rangkaian Recharge Pure Electric menjelang tahun 2025.
Charles Frump, Pengarah Urusan Volvo Car Malaysia, berkata: “Pelancaran dua kenderaan elektrik kami yang dipasang secara tempatan merupakan penggalak kepada pertumbuhan jualan kami.”
“Bahagian pasaran kenderaan elektrik kami semakin meningkat secara global, dan kami yakin bahawa perkara serupa akan berlaku di Malaysia,” tambahnya.
Pada peringkat global, jumlah keseluruhan jualan Volvo Cars pada tahun 2022 sebanyak 615,121 turut terkesan dengan cabaran merentasi rantaian bekalan dan sekatan pengeluaran akibat kekurangan komponen dan penutupan berkaitan Covid-19.
Namun begitu, permintaan untuk kenderaan-kenderaan Volvo kekal kukuh dengan jualan keseluruhan barisan Recharge dengan rangkaian kuasa hibrid Pure Electric dan Plug-in Hibrid mencecah 43.8 peratus pada Disember 2022, manakala kereta elektrik sepenuhnya pula menyumbang 20.1 peratus daripada jualan global untuk bulan yang sama.
